Company - the history

ROSSI bags - Leukauf-Rossi GmbH is an Austrian family business located in Vienna - Hietzing.

Sylvia Leukauf-Rossi, the bag makerdiscovered her love of creative design and textile materials at an early age. At the HTL Spengergasse in Vienna, she therefore completed a solid education as a designer and textile technician.
After many years of experience in international textile companies, she realized 2011 her passion and founded a one-man business for customized bags from sustainable production.

As part of a traditional family of entrepreneurs, Sylvia Leukauf-Rossi followed in the footsteps of her parents and grandparents: Her grandfather was a passionate tie maker, and her mother and aunt ran the renowned
Lyra Moden" specialty store in Bognergasse in Vienna. This flair for high-quality textiles, the appreciation of first-class craftsmanship and the importance of trusting, sustainable partnerships with customers and suppliers are in her blood.

Inspired by her family, who got her interested in the world of entrepreneurship as a child, she found her calling in the development of sustainably produced bags. Her heart and dedication are not only devoted to the quality of her products, but also to people and the environment, which are always close to her heart. Today, the company is a true family project: her children actively support her and continue the tradition and values together with her,

2012 Sylvia Leukauf-Rossi founded Leukauf-Rossi GmbH and initially specialized in the development of individual custom-made products that were precisely tailored to B2B customer requirements.

2013 Sylvia Leukauf-Rossi launched her first collection, Natural Bag, on the market. The bags impress with their high quality and sustainable materials such as recycled PET felt. At the same time, she began offering personalized bags with logo branding for companies, which can also be embroidered, printed or laser-finished in small quantities.

2014 Sylvia Leukauf-Rossi deepened her commitment to sustainability and developed the premium Natural Bag Handmade collection. The bags were 100 % handmade in Austria and made from sustainable, traditional materials such as virgin wool flooring, genuine leather and virgin wool felt, sometimes combined with innovative PET upcycled felt.

2015 was followed by the Waldegg collection, which impressed with its high-end designs and elaborate workmanship. In addition to traditional materials, Sylvia Leukauf-Rossi used innovative fabrics such as nettle and flax fibers, milk fibers, pineapple leather and vegetable-tanned leather to combine the highest quality and sustainability.

2016 the backpack model Study Bag from the Natural Bag collection received the Vegan Innovation Award from the Vegan Society of Germany at Veganfach in Cologne for its material revolution and vegan transformation.
Also 2017 the Study Bag achieved great recognition: at Vegan Planet in Vienna, it won third place in the award, once again underlining the collection's innovative design and sustainable materials.

Since 2019 the company consistently pursues sustainable and regional approaches, sources raw materials from the EU and produces exclusively according to customer requirements in order to conserve resources. The Natural Bag collection made from upcycled PET felt and the Waldegg premium line are constantly being expanded with new models. From 2020 the collaboration with European production facilities has intensified, resulting in the Natural Bag collection growing into a diverse portfolio that is perfect for corporate customers. The bags made from recycled PET felt are particularly suitable for logo branding using embroidery.

2021 the company developed three locker bag models in response to the trend towards desk sharing. To ensure that the office shoppers fit into standard lockers, the dimensions were adjusted as required. Customers can also choose from various equipment options, depending on the area of use and individual requirements.

2022 the company moved from Bockfließ Lower Austria to 1130 Vienna.

2023 the ROSSI SPA Bag collection was developed for the international market - exclusive wellness bag models and slippers made from PET upcycling, virgin wool and the new, washable wood fiber felt from Lenzing.
The functional bags are manufactured in an environmentally and socially responsible manner within the EU. Individual brand/logo branding by embroidery, laser or print as well as the free choice of strap colors create exclusive one-off products.

2024 the ROSSI bags brand was relaunched with new collections organized by purpose. The website taschenfabrikantin.at has been revised and models have been developed which are ideal as customer or employee gifts, for merchandising and the hotel store. In addition to a large selection for the business sector, ROSSI now also offers stylish and practical leisure models.

Il grande vantaggio di tutti e tre i materiali è la facile lavabilità. In this way, le borse e le ciabattine per spa non sono più un semplice prodotto usa e getta. Grazie alla loro elevata qualità, possono essere utilizzate più spesso e più a lungo.
